The famed Loaded Dervish has received a long overdue update and we are stoked for what it has become! Originally designed to be the most efficient and fun cruising and carving machine, the 2012 Loaded Dervish "Sama" now features nose and tail kicks along with an additional flex pattern for riders who prefer to fine-tune their setup to their liking. As mentioned in Loaded's description of the new deck, "A softer flex rating will give you more control and tighter turns at slower speeds and make it easier to slide, but tends to lose stability at higher speeds. A stiffer flex provides more energy potential, is more stable at higher speeds, and holds up better to hard landings, but will not be as forgiving and lively when cruising." Definitely something to consider, but certainly not something worth worrying about! Just go with the listed weight ranges and you'll be stoked!
As far as the setup is concerned, the Dervish "Sama" was designed to give you the maximum amount of foot platform while still avoiding wheelbite even with larger (~75mm) wheels. If you're the flippity-do type, we'd suggest sticking to a medium-sized wheel (~70mm) to maximize the fun.
